The State Institute for Environment Baden-Württemberg is responsible for monitoring the air using sophisticated measuring systems. As soon as radioactive radiation has been detected which is not of natural origin, alert messages have to be generated. This requires the use of trained staff around the clock. Thanks to Voice Reader, notifications are now automatically created and acoustically transmitted. This helps to reduce alarm and response time. Project manager Marius Elvert: “Voice quality has reached a level which can hardly be distinguished from a human speaker.”
